'Dark Knight Rises' Viral Campaign Leads To Prologue Screenings
Last Friday was a very heavy day for fans of "The Dark Knight Rises." From a new viral marketing campaign to reactions to the movie's much discussed and about-to-be released prologue scene, Batman pretty much dominated the comic book movie news space. "Dark Knight Rises" Viral Decoded The latest viral game for "The Dark Knight Rises," titled Operation Early Bird, has been solved. The end result, as expected, is that certain lucky fans have earned the chance to see the highly anticipated prologue to Christopher Nolan's final Batman movie a couple of days early. "Dark" Prologue Gets Warm Reaction Speaking of the "Dark Knight Rises" prologue, a lucky few were invited to screen the six-minute sequence late last week. Among those individuals are "Iron Man" director Jon Favreau, "Scott Pilgrim" director Edgar Wright, "Moon" helmer Duncan Jones and "Hostel" mastermind Eli Roth. Their reaction to the footage? "Dark Knight" Actor Dies In less uplifting news, tragedy has once again struck the "Dark Knight" crew. It was reported recently that an extra died during shooting in NY City last month. The unidentified actor suffered a fatal heart attack during a break in rehearsals for a scene to be filmed in the city's Financial District. Warner Bros. issued a statement on the matter, which you can read over here.
